athenspass.com is an independent comparison of the sightseeing passes for Athens. Four commercial passes compete for the same visitor: the Athens City Pass and the Athens Flex Pass by Turbopass, the Athens Pass sold by Tiqets and the Athens MegaPass by MegaPass, sold through Headout. The site is published by Cruise Media GmbH.
Athens is a particular case among the pass cities. Every pass includes the same two anchors, the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum, so the difference lies in how validity is counted, whether the hop-on hop-off bus and the smaller museums are part of the deal, and who reserves the compulsory Acropolis time slot for you. The passes are sorted here by exactly those questions: consecutive days or free picks, one fixed plan or a year of validity, transport add-on, transport day or none. And because the single Acropolis ticket is searched for far more often than any pass, the site says plainly when no pass pays off: for the Acropolis alone, for visitors under 18 and EU citizens up to 24, who enter free, and on the free-admission Sundays from November to March.
The figures on the comparison, price and attraction pages are taken from the issuers' current offers and the state ticket office and carry the date of the check. The binding price is always the one in the booking step.
