Which Athens pass covers which sight
Not every pass includes every sight. Here you see, sight by sight, which pass gets you in and which one asks for an add-on.

The Acropolis is in every pass, the rest is not
All four Athens passes include the Acropolis with the Parthenon and the Acropolis Museum below it. Beyond that they part ways. The hop-on hop-off bus is included for 48 hours in the City Pass, for two days in the Athens Pass and the MegaPass, and counts as one pick in the Flex Pass. The Cape Sounion tour to the Temple of Poseidon is an add-on in the Athens Pass and part of the MegaPass Explorer tier only, there without the temple entry.
The smaller museums: City Pass territory
Around a dozen smaller houses are the City Pass's own field: the War Museum, the Herakleidon Museum with its interactive exhibitions, the Hellenic Motor Museum, the two Kotsanas collections of ancient Greek technology and instruments, the Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum, the Athens Olympic Museum and the Museum of Illusions. The Flex Pass lists several of them as picks and adds the ancient sites around the Acropolis: the Ancient Agora with the Temple of Hephaestus, the Roman Agora, Hadrian's Library, Aristotle's Lyceum and the Temple of Olympian Zeus. The Athens Pass and the MegaPass stop at the three essentials.
What no pass includes
The National Archaeological Museum, the largest collection of Greek antiquities in the world, is in none of the four passes. Neither is the airport line. The metro and the tram come only as a City Pass add-on or as a 24-hour ticket in the MegaPass Explorer tier, the airport excluded either way (see the public transport page). Special exhibitions and the state museums outside the Acropolis complex are single-ticket sights.
Reservation rules
The Acropolis admits visitors in hourly time slots, pass or not. The City Pass and the Athens Pass reserve the slot for you at purchase, the Flex Pass and the MegaPass leave the reservation to you, the MegaPass through its own account. Everywhere else the pass is shown at the entrance as a QR code without a reservation.

Questions about the sights
Which sight is in no pass?+
The National Archaeological Museum, the largest museum in the city, is not part of any Athens pass, nor is the airport line. Buy those tickets separately.
Do I still need a reservation with a pass?+
For the Acropolis, yes. The pass replaces the ticket, not the time slot. The City Pass and the Athens Pass settle the slot with the purchase, the others leave it to you.
Is the Ancient Agora included?+
Only as a pick in the Flex Pass, together with the Roman Agora, Hadrian's Library and the Temple of Olympian Zeus. The other passes stop at the Acropolis and its museum.
